OUR D.B. SOPWITH PUP RIGGING SYSTEM

The photos below are of our test build unit showing the neatness and practicality of our new rigging system. Picture 1 shows how flush & neat the magnetic parts fit into the wing. Picture 2 shows the new rigging gripper in the wing above the magnetic unit. Picture 3 is just a more upright view from beneath. Picture 4 shows the magnetic unit separated and the recess for the strut section of the magnet also can be clearly identified.

OK so it's a bit cruel, but here at DB we like testing things to make sure that our systems will do the job we intend them to. Picture 5 shows two large spanners hanging on the strut while the strut is holding to the wing section with just the magnet. Picture 6 shows the weight of the strut & spanners on the scales 1.484 KG (not bad for a little magnet).

And yet more cruelty, here we can see the spare wheel of the Volvo 940 weighing in at around 15KG hanging on the rigging gripper shown above. These grippers are able to take up to 40KG each, we think it may be just enough to do the job.
